A whole nation in the grip of fanatics starts a fire that engulfs the whole planet.
Unparalleled fiends create a place for unparalleled heroes.

But while in the bigger picture, the lines were drawn easily enough, on a personal scale, things weren't as black-and white as both sides would have loved them to be, and each one had to decide on his own.
And these decisions never were easy.
In those dark times of secrets and murder, personal attachment was a liability basically no one was able to afford, and yet, some courageous people dared to love, some even trusted their lives to nothing more but what their heart told them.
