"Arabian Nights"
Part 11

Sean stared after the man who had just bought him, eyes narrowed hatefully even as he calmed his body's betraying reaction to the kiss. He'd never known a lover to kiss so forcefully, so possessively. The man was a warrior, no doubt of that, and he had been addressed as "Captain." Perhaps Sean could convince him to help him, one captain to another. If not...
Sean had no qualms about killing warriors nor those who abused their slaves. His only qualm was killing or harming innocents and he was known to kill many a man who had dared to harm a child or woman.
He was shoved forward roughly and he turned his head, bestowing a frigid glare at the guard who had pushed him. "Touch me again, I will feed you your heart." He growled and felt a flash of smug pride at the fear that briefly passed across the guard's dark eyes.
All too soon he was pulled into the palace and to Karl's quarters. "Leave him." Karl ordered and the men hastened to obey, backing from the room. "I am no one's slave." Sean said, his voice low and dangerous, eyes smoldering. "I am Captain of The Guard for..."
"His Highness Prince Viggo, once of Denmark, now of Aqaba." Karl finished for Sean, hiding a smile at the surprise in the slave's face.
"Viggo?" Sean whispered. "He is here? And well?"
"Yes, Captain. And he wished to buy you, but it would not do for a prince to buy a slave, especially not one he so obviously knows and holds in high regard." Karl moved towards Sean slowly, holding out the key for the chains. "I am Karl." He added.
"Sean." Sean replied quietly, taking the key and removing the chains from his wrists and ankles. "I am in your debt." Though it pained him to do so, he knelt, inclining his head towards Karl. "And I thank you."
"You owe me nothing, Sean." Karl answered, slowly savoring the way the blonde man's name rolled off his tongue. So foreign yet something he felt he could easily get used to saying. "Please, rise." Sean forced himself to his feet and Karl reached out, steadying him. "I'll have a bath drawn for you."
"No." Sean shook his head. "Let me see my prince, I *must* see that he is safe and well before I will let myself take care of my own physical ailments."
Karl hid another smile, this man, Sean, was very much like himself. "Very well. This way." He motioned for Sean to follow him and he led the warrior down to Viggo's quarters, pushing open the door. "Princeling, I have brought him, as I said I would."
Sean stepped in behind Karl and the lines on his face softened as he slowly smiled, immediately ordering his body to cooperate with him and to kneel. "Viggo." He breathed, thankful his friend and prince was safe.
